How to Sweeten Up Your Dessert Table

Dessert_Table_655

Having a candy table at your wedding instead of a dessert table is a cute way to add a delicious selection of sweets to the celebration. After indulging yourself with the spectacular wedding cake you have no doubt been thinking about for months, here’s a simple way to, ahem, treat your guests.

    You'll need:
  • several different sized clear glass bowls and jars
  • assorted ribbons: lace, white, and themed to your wedding
  • your favorite assorted candies (anything from wrapped treats to jelly beans and chocolates—tip: candy fans suggest ¼ to ½ pound per guest when you’re trying to figure out how much bulk candy to buy)
  • candy scoops or large spoons
  • nine 8 1/2 by 11 inch pieces of cardboard
  • assorted colors of construction paper
  • stencil letters
  • stickers

First, create the SWEET LOVE display behind the candy table.

Cover the pieces of cardboard with construction paper, alternating the colors as the background for your letters. Add the large stencil letters, one to each piece of cardboard. Decorate it with Stickers, bows and decals to make it personalized and yours. Next, take the different sized jars (with or without tops) and tie ribbon around the rim. Fill the jars and bowls with your favorite candies and display on the table!

Voila, a delicious display!
