Nope, not just any old flower pot. We decided to give the typical (and cheap) terra cotta pots a fresh coat of paint... in your signature wedding color, of course! The best part: it's chalkboard paint! Write a note of thanks or use it as a place setting and scribble your guest's name. How convenient! Materials Terra cotta pot (HomeDepot.com) Chalkboard paint (HomeDepot.com) Paintbrush Flowering plant Chalk How-to Step 1 Buy your pot and pick your paint color (you can get pretty much any color you want! Step 2 Give the pot a coat of paint. Set aside to dry. Step 3 Add in a plant. Step 4 Write your personal message! 3 comments | post a comment

I ♥ this idea! We are having a June wedding & I was planning on making tons of chocolate cookies... this is so cute, I think I'll change my favors. Instead of putting a plant in there, put a bag a seeds instead!

So cute! Thanks for the great idea. I'm going to link at Dollar Store Crafts. I think Martha has a recipe for DIY chalkboard paint. I think it's to add 2 Tbsp of powdered grout mix to a quart of paint (but I can't be sure).
