Another Gorgeous Garland

Maybe we’re on a garland kick (tis the season, after all), or maybe it’s just our obsession with cupcakes, but when we spotted this DIY tutorial over on 100 Layer Cake, we had to share. The vintage lace and fabric adds dimension, so it's pretty enough to use on your Christmas tree now, and lovely decorating your ceremony aisle come spring! --Jen DeRose

Seriously Easy DIY Centerpiece Idea

How enormously simple are these centerpieces? We love crafting, but choosing too many complicated projects can quickly equal a disaster. The only prep work--scouring yard sales for vintage handkerchiefs, then knotting one around a vase--can be done weeks in advance, so you can concentrate on more important details. Like which one’s going to be at your table.

Spotted: Easy Dog Wreath Collars

We can’t help swooning when couples incorporate their adorable pets into their wedding…just look at those puppy dog eyes! But while there’s a range of vests, dresses, and even ring pillows for small dogs, it can be hard to find something that’s right for pooches not of the lap-variety. So we were excited when we spotted these collar wreaths -- your dog won’t spend all his time pawing at them, and simple enough to make yourself!

Here’s how:
Trim a few extra blooms so there’s about a one inch stem. Then twist florist wire around the stem, and attach them to the collar. Cover with florist tape to hide the wire and cushion any sharp edges. Good dog!
