Aple_swag

We spotted this fall friendly chair swag over at The Brides Café, and have been dreaming of an apple-themed wedding ever since: apple cider, apple pie, and maybe even a little apple dunking at the rehearsal dinner.

To create them, just string the fruit together with wire, then tie on some pretty ribbons at the ends. Make just a couple to decorate the bride and groom’s chairs or order by the bushel and do up the whole room—the best part is that the swags can be made a couple of days in advance!

We couldn't wait to share this amazing (and crafty) idea we saw on oncewed.com. Such a fun way to add some pattern, texture and style to your wedding day. And this one is so afforadable. Thanks for the inspiration...we're off to IKEA for some containers to cover!

We couldn't resist sharing this sweet idea. A DIY candy apple bar - and the mini kind! Our favorite part: the branches that stepped in as popsicle sticks. Does it get any better than this?

We're still finding inspiration from our favorite seasonal elements. So easy! So cheap!

Materials
leaves (you'll need 1 per guest)
ribbon
hole punch
construction paper
glue stick
fine tip markers (we used black and white)
scissors

How-to Here's a hint: We actually made our name cards by tracing clip art that we doanloaded but chances are you can find a cute acorn from the scrapbooking aisle at your local craft store.

Step 1 Download acorn-shaped clip art. Cut out, trace and cut out.
Step 2 We traced the tops on our brown paper and the body on moss colored paper. Cut out.
Step 3 Glue the tops of the acorn on the bottom with glue stick. Set aside and let dry.
Step 4 Write the name of your guest and the table assignments.
Step 5 We decided to dress up the acorn with a dot border with a white felt tip marker.
Step 6 Make a hole in the top of the acorn. Attach to leaf with ribbon.
