How-to: Table Number Box

TablenumJD_250

We're still on our kick about finding new uses for ordinary items. We decided to put a house number to use in our reception.

Materials
House number ($2.47 each, HomeDepot.com)
Wooden box (Michaels.com)
Hammer
Acrylic paint in white
Paintbrush
Ribbon
Glu dot
How-to
Step 1 Paint the box with a coat of paint. Set aside to dry.
Step 2 Once your box is completely dry, attach the number to the front of the box with the hammer.
Step 3 Finish off the top with a ribbon trim. Secure with a glu dot.
Step 4 Fill the box with blank paper and pens. Encourage guests to leave their wedding well wishes!

I love your site and was wondering if you had any advice about a DIY registry? I've decided to keep my wedding gift list online but am wavering between MyRegistry.com and Wish List although I'm learning towards the former. Do you have any tips about what to include, what to avoid, etc? Thanks so much for all your great ideas! We're on a tight budget and any cute and affordable tips certainly help out!
