How- to: Escort Card Display

092809_escordcards

We had so much fun with this escort card display. This was a great way for us to show-off our red and gray color scheme.
Materials
Paper craft tags in two sizes (paper-source.com)
Thread holder (Michaels.com for stores)
Ribbon
Spray paint

Step 1 We tackled the wooden holder first. We put down a dropcloth (we basically used scraps of paper) and we spray painted. The key is to take your time so that you hit every inch.

Step 2 After waiting about 5 hours for it to dry,we applied a second coat. Then set it aside to dry.

Step 3 The tags were a cinch! Craft tags come with holes already punched out. Score!

Step 4 Once we had our guest list and table assignments done,we handwrote them on our gray tags. We like layering and thought doubling up would add an extra special touch.

Step 5 We then tied them together with a ribbon and hung them on our holder.
