Quick Tip: DIY Doesn’t Mean Do-It-All

Wreaths_ABrockintonY_196_250If you want to put a personal touch on a special creation for your wedding you don’t have to start from scratch. You can find something small to build upon at a local craft store or flea market.

Take these little branch wreaths for example. You don’t have to make them yourself, but you can use embellishments like ribbons, flowers, and note cards to personalize them. They will make great favors or escort cards and you can vary the size, color, and messaging on each. If you’re not into wreaths, try small clay flower pots or bowls, baskets, or frames.

That's a great tip. A friend of mine got incredibly stressed out from trying to do everything on her own.

Another friend added small details here and there and it seemed like their wedding went a little smoother.

There are a lot of little things that can be found in scrapbook and craft stores that make great starting points.

I agree! One of my bridesmaids and I went to a local craft store and bought vases for $1 each. I then ordered rock candy off line ($50 for 120 pcs) and got some ribbon. So for a few dollars each I had vases filled with sparkling blue "rocks" with a ribbon around the outside. They turned out beautifully and my guests can eat them!
