This cute favor is incredibly easy to put together and will make your guests very happy -- who doesn't love a basket full of candy? Thanks to Elizabeth W. Gift Baskets and Shindig 411 for the great idea. Materials Small portable containers like favor baskets, dollar-store mini tubs or small flowerpots Candies in your theme colors (we used M&M's) Plastic floral tubes (find these at a florist supply store) Fresh flowers matching the blooms in your bouquet Tags and string Step 1: Fill each container with the candies. Step 2: Put water in the plastic tubes, and then insert a single flower in each one. Step 3: Embed one tube into each of the candy-filled baskets so that the flower appears to be growing out of the basket. Step 4: Inscribe your names and wedding date or a thank-you message on the tags, either by hand or with a computer. Tie a tag to each basket handle. See more of Elizabeth's creations at Elizabeth W. This wedding is so adorable, it just about kills us. The candy displays bring such a bright and happy touch, and from a guest's perspective... yeah, we'd go pretty crazy for that spread. These are a snap to put together on your own -- just grab some mason jars, fill them with your favorite sweets and top 'em with bright lollipops. The more colorful the candy, the better! They'll look great as centerpieces or spread throughout the reception as decor, or grouped together as a candy bar. Cute couple Abbie and Brian were married at MaCallum House in Mendocino, California, and Suzi Q of Q Weddings snapped the photos. We love how his bright boutonniere and the flowers in her hair continue the playful theme. Images: Suzi Q, Q Photography June 11, 2009
Sabrina and Eunice Moyle, our super-talented (and super-sweet!) friends from Hello!Lucky letterpress printing, sent over this amazing DIY. The project was inspired by these graphic modern chandelier wedding invitations (top center and bottom left), which they designed with Jean of EIEIO Studios. Jeffrey Rudell's amazing paper chandelier for Tiffany's (top right) also guided the technique. The crystal-like garlands are made with discs of paper and string, and can be draped like the strands of a necklace, or just allowed to hang vertically, like raindrops. The project is great to do with friends -- it’s easy, but involves a bit of manual labor. Experiment with different paper colors, textures and patterns to match your wedding palette! June 10, 2009
The shop offers cute customized round labels, delivered in PDF form. Just pick out your colors and design, and for $10 they'll send you a file with 30 1.5" labels on one standard-sized sheet. (Artsy brides can skip this step and design their own labels!) Next, print the file out onto full sheet labels. Full sheet labels are unscored, which means you'll need to cut out the labels on your own. The easiest way to do this is with a hole punch. The labels are the same size as a standard punch -- 1.5" -- so you shouldn't have a problem finding one at your local craft store. Finish the project by affixing the labels on small wood stir sticks. On the day of your wedding, slide on a line of olives or cheese or stick it in a cupcake, and you're ready to serve! (Find the full sheet labels and stir sticks at a local craft store, or purchase them from Print Your Party.) June 09, 2009

These whimsical paper boutonnieres are inspired by the blooms at Antoinette and Joshua's wedding (featured here last Friday), as well as these flower pins we spotted at Linda & Harriet. Use the same basic instructions to make bouquets, chair decorations, escort cards and anything else you can think of! June 05, 2009
Love, love, LOVE these paper bouquets, boutonnieres and pinwheels from Antoinette and Joshua's wedding (shot by Blue Dog Imaging in Selinsgrove, PA). Paper blooms are the perfect way to bring a sense of playfulness and personality to a classic wedding, and they make great keepsakes for you and your wedding party. And best of all...you can make them all on your own! Check back Monday for a super-cute paper flower tutorial. June 04, 2009
Every Tuesday, they offer a -- you guessed it -- free downloadable template for a card, tag, list or some other fun item. Now, all you need to do to get in on the fun is download the template, print, cut and fold! This week's invitation download is perfect for a bridal shower. Thanks iDiY for tipping us off! We post lots of projects that are "quick" and "easy," but this one beats them all. Reader Andrea sent in this sweet and simple centerpiece from her own wedding reception, put together by her mother. With the silver canisters costing only 89 cents each (look for them at a local craft store), the entire project totaled less than 7$ per centerpiece. (The only other expenses were the ribbons and the flowers.) And, according to Andrea, they received rave reviews from guests! Thanks so much for sending in this idea, Andrea.
