This DIY wedding program project from Helen Driscoll (co-owner and founder of awesome wedding stationery shop InviteSite) is a great starting point for all sorts of different ideas. Customize the paper, font and ribbon, and add any other embellishments you'd like to make the programs perfect for your big day. Materials 70-pound 8 1/2" x 11" paper (the heavier weight will let you print on both sides) 9" x 11 1/4" art paper (make sure it doesn't crack when folded -- some very thick machine-made paper may need to be scored professionally) Standard hole punch Glue stick Ribbon Step 1: Type out all the text for your wedding program on a word processor, formatting the copy in two columns. Pick a font that coordinates with your wedding theme. Step 2: Print out the sheets using a home printer or your local copy shop. If your copy runs onto two pages and you'll need front-and-back printing, the professional help is probably worth it. Step 3: Fold both the printed sheets and the cover sheets in half vertically. The crease will separate the two columns of your program. Step 4: Run the glue stick down the crease on the back of the printed paper. Nestle it into the cover sheet, making sure it's centered. Step 5: Use the hole punch to make two small half-moon shaped holes at the spine. Thread your ribbon through the holes so that the loose ends come out the back of the program. Tie the ends in a pretty bow. Visit InviteSite to find great wedding stationery and more DIY projects. 1 comments | post a comment

I really love these wedding programs. They look elegant, yet very simple. I think wedding programs are a really good idea to have and are great to scrapbook later.
