How-To: Personalized Thank-You Cards

Photocard_650

For a little postwedding DIY fun, get personal with your thank-you cards using this stationery project from Elizabeth Woodson of Elizabeth W. Gift Baskets. Customize the paper and photos, and add your favorite embellishments.

Materials
Accordion-fold blank cards (make it or buy it)
Your wedding photos
Embellishments
Glue

Step 1: Make or buy accordion-fold blank cards. (If you’re making the cards, be sure they're a standard envelope size.)

Step 2: Glue copies of your wedding photos to each panel. Making copies of original photos on a copy machine or scanner allows you to shrink or enlarge images and make multiples without damaging your originals. Use a different shot on each panel, leaving the last panel blank for your message.

Step 3: Decorate the cards with paper punch cutouts, tiny rhinestones or fancy stickers, if you like.

Step 4: Handwrite your message, or if you don’t like the way your handwriting looks, type it on the computer, print out on fancy paper, cut to size and attach with a paper punch cutout or sticker.

Yeah, this would be fun if you only had a minimal number of thank yous to write, or if you just did them for your bridesmaids. Otherwise, this would take FOREVER!

This looks VERY time consuming, although it's pretty. I have reached my DIY saturation point.
