How-To: Candy Favor Baskets

Mmforweb

This cute favor is incredibly easy to put together and will make your guests very happy -- who doesn't love a basket full of candy? Thanks to Elizabeth W. Gift Baskets and Shindig 411 for the great idea.

Materials
Small portable containers like favor baskets, dollar-store mini tubs or small flowerpots
Candies in your theme colors (we used M&M's)
Plastic floral tubes (find these at a florist supply store)
Fresh flowers matching the blooms in your bouquet
Tags and string

Step 1: Fill each container with the candies.

Step 2: Put water in the plastic tubes, and then insert a single flower in each one.

Step 3: Embed one tube into each of the candy-filled baskets so that the flower appears to be growing out of the basket.

Step 4: Inscribe your names and wedding date or a thank-you message on the tags, either by hand or with a computer. Tie a tag to each basket handle.

I love mini picnic baskets as favor holders. I never even thought to put a single flower bud in them. I love the idea! Mini favor baskets are especially great for couples who got engaged in the park over a picnic lunch, or met at a company picnic, etc. Guests find them adorable and they're eco-friendly!
